CARNIVAL ECSTASY FACTS

Description The Carnival Ecstasy cruise ship is one of eight Fantasy class ships in the Carnival fleet. The ship is 261m in length and has tonnage of 70,000 tons, with cruising speed of 21 knots. The ship features a seven-deck high atrium with bar and lounge - the Grand Spectrum Plaza Atrium is a central focal point.
Destinations Carnival Ecstasy cruises from Galveston to the Western Caribbean with trips covering ports such as Cozumel, Progreso, Galveston and Yucatan.
History Carnival Ecstasy was launched in 1991. During Hurricane Katrina, the ship was harbored at New Orleans and provided refuge for the hurricane victims. Carnival Ecstasy is also part of Carnival’s “Evolution of Fun” program.
Dining The dining options on the cruise are the two main dining rooms called Wind Star and Wind Song, Mongolian Rotisserie grill, Panorama bar and grill, China town lounge, and a Rolls Royce café. Along with formal dining options, the cruise also has a Salad bar, a deli just like the ones in New York and a pizzeria.
Entertainment The entertainment options for adults, teens and kids are many and varied. Teens and kids can hang out at the Circle C, Club O2 or Camp Carnival, video arcade. Water attractions include the Carnival water works and resort style pool, and the Serenity pool exclusively for adults. There is also a dance bar and a Society cigar club. Other facilities include internet café, the art and photo gallery, the duty free stores, a conference room and an Explorer’s Club library.
Health and sporting facilities include the Greenhouse Spa and Salon influenced by Palm Springs, an aerobics room, a massage room, a gym, a sauna, a steam and a jogging track. The sun deck has a mini golf course and basket ball court.
Cabins The accommodation on the ship is comfortable and spacious. The interiors of the cabins are well made, irrespective of the size of the cabin. Some cabins or suites like the Penthouse suite, Suite with a Verandah deck, and Ocean View staterooms also include a balcony. The standard cabins (Oceanview cabins, Obstructed view cabins, inside cabins) are smaller in size (about 186 sq ft ) and can accommodate up to three passengers.
