CARNIVAL SPLENDOR FACTS

Description Carnival Splendor is one of the more recent additions to the Carnival fleet. This Splendor class vessel (or more correctly, Concordia-class) offers fun, luxury and pure entertainment in complete Carnival style. Key features include 5,500 sq feet children's playroom, pool with a two-deck high opening Sky Dome, and two-deck spa and gym facility.
Destinations Carnival Splendor currently sails on weekly cruises from Los Angeles.
History Carnival Splendor was launched in 2008 and was initially made to operate for Costa Cruises. Myleene Klass is the godmother of the cruise and inaugurated the ceremony in June 2008 at Dover, where Splendor began her maiden voyage.
Dining Carnival Splendor has two main dining rooms named The Gold Pearl restaurant and the Black Pearl restaurant. Other dining options include the House Sports bar, Ocean view bar, California Roll Sushi bar, El Mojito wine bar, Grand Piano bar, Mongolian Station and the Pinnacle Steak house. Casual dining options include a Buffet, Deli, Salad bar, Pizzeria, Grill and a Tandoor.
Entertainment Entertainment options include the Spectacular main lounge, Pink Pearl Card room, Royal Flush Casino, and the Red carpet dance club which are for the grownups. The kids and teens have options like Circle C, Club O2, Video Arcade, and Lido Pool, Splash Park, Thunder ball pool and Camp Carnival.
Spa Carnival, on Carnival Splendor, is the largest spa facility on any Carnival cruise ship, and features the Thermal Suite, Thalassotherapy Pool, Oriental Steam bath, Tepidarium, Aroma Steam bath, Relaxation room, Mud treatment, Flotation therapy, Steam and Sauna. Other health related activities includes a gym – fitness center, aerobics center, jogging track, mini golf course, basket ball and a volley ball court.
Cabins The accommodation on Carnival Splendor includes Penthouse Suites and Spa suite for those guests who want extra comfort and relaxation. These suites are sized at more than 300 sq ft and can sleep up to three to four guests. The Balcony and the Ocean view cabins a slightly smaller and can sleep three guests comfortably. The Inside staterooms offer more affordable accommodation. Another highlight on the Splendor is that some of the Balcony, Ocean view and the Interior stateroom have complementary access to the Spa facilities.
