Description
Carnival Valor and belongs to the ‘Conquest-class’, and is sister ship to Carnival Conquest (2002), Carnival Glory (2003), Carnival Liberty (2005), Carnival Freedom (2007). Valor has it’s interiors based on ‘Heroism’, a tribute to the most popular heroes around the globe. The décor of the vessel is predominantly red, blue and white on the lines of the US flag.
Destinations
Carnival has a seven day round trip from the port of Miami to the Western Caribbean. The ports featured on these cruises may include places such as Costa Maya, Cayman Islands, Belize, Isla Roatan and Cozumel.
History
Carnival Valor was built in Fincantieri, Italy and was designed to pay tribute to the heroes and their heroic acts. The godmother of the cruise is Katie Couric, who works for the NBC network. The ship sailed on its maiden voyage in December 2004, from the port of Miami.
Dining
Carnival Valor, with 13 decks, has more than 10 bars, in addition to four dining venues which are Lincoln dining room, Washington dining room, Rosie's Restaurant and Scarlett's Steakhouse. The other places include Bronx Sports Bar, The Dream Bar, Java Café, Jeanne's Wine bar, Lindy Hop Piano bar, Argonaut bar, Buffet, Deli and a fish and chips stall.
Entertainment
Carnival Valor has four Swimming pools such as the Dolphin Pool, Children's pool and a 214 feet high Twister water slide. Entertainment includes a Paris Lounge, Eagles lounge, One Small Step dance club, Winston’s Cigar club, a gaming room, seven whirlpools and a three deck high Ivanhoe theater, to keep guests of all age groups occupied with some fun activity or another. Teenagers and children are entertained at Camp Carnival, Circle C, Club O2,
The Spa Carnival on the Valor has a massage room, a Steam, a Sauna, and a beauty salon. The City Sports Park has a mini golf course, water wars water balloon fun, table tennis, basket ball court, shuffle board, jogging track and a volley ball court.
Cabins
Accommodation on the Valor has ten Penthouse suites and more than 40 Suites that have a sitting, a dining, private bathroom and wide open private balcony space, these suites can sleep up to four guests and are sized at more than 300 sq ft and 250 sq ft. Of the 848 Ocean view cabins, 521 cabins include a balcony space and are sized at 200 sq ft. The 577 Interior Cabins have 10 cabins with upper and lower ocean view.
