Description Celebrity Solstice is a cruise ship operated by Celebrity Cruises. The 314 metre long vessel features a number of specialty restaurants, and a host of relaxation amenities. Celebrity Solstice is the original ship of the Solstice Class, and sister ship to Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Eclipse and Celebrity Silhouette.
History Celebrity Solstice was built at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany and was launched in 2008. She was christened Sharon L. Smith, an ocean scientist, at Port Everglades in Florida later that year.
Dining There are a number of restaurants and cafes onboard including the Ocean View Café, Tuscan Grille, Blu, Murano, Bistro on Five, Café al Bacio and the Grand Épernay restaurant.
Entertainment Entertainment facilities on the ship include the Equinox theatre with seating for over 1400 guests, sky observation lounge, sunset bar, video arcade, library several other bars and clubs. Sporting and recreation facilities include swimming pools, spa, solarium and fitness centre. The Lawn Club has a real grass croquet lawn situated on the upper deck between the funnels.
Cabins There are numerous classes of suites and cabins on board. Suites options are Penthouse Suite, Royal Suite, Celebrity Suite, Sky Suite. Cabin types include AquaClass® Stateroom, Concierge Class Stateroom, Veranda Class Stateroom, Ocean View Stateroom and Inside Stateroom. There are suites and cabins with facilities for disabled guests.
