ASUKA II FACTS

Description Asuka II is owned by Yusen Kaisha, a large shipping company with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. The 241 m long ship carries over 700 passengers in comfort. Despite her age of over 20 years, she is one of the top rated luxury cruise ships serving the Japanese market
Destinations The ship cruises visits various ports throughout Japan, the Japanese Islands, the Far East, and also further afield on world cruises.
History Asuka II was built in 1989 by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Nagasaki. She was launched in 1990 as Crystal Harmony for Crystal Cruises. After being retired from the Crystal Cruises fleet in 2005, it was renovated and entered service as Asuka II for Nippon Yusen Kaisha (parent company of Crystal Cruises).
Entertainment Entertainment and recreation facilities onboard includes two swimming pools, bath house, tea room, several bars, casino, fitness centre and theatre.
Cabins Asuka II is designed with mainly outside cabins, many with balconies. There are comparatively few inside cabins.
