Description Ocean Star Pacific is a cruise ship operated by Ocean Star Cruises a Mexico-based company founded in 2010. The 193 m long ship has over 500 cabins and can cater for 1231 passengers. There are seven passenger decks. She one of three ships originally ordered by Royal Caribbean, a sister ship to Ocean Pearl and Oriental Dragon. The Ocean Star Pacific has been docked Mazatlan in Mexico in early 2012 for repairs.

History Ocean Star Pacific was originally built for Royal Caribbean in 1970 at Wärtsilä Helsinki New Shipyard in Helsinki, Finland. She was launched as the Nordic Prince and commenced service in 1971 cruising on the Caribbean. She was sold to Sun Cruises in 1995 and renamed the MV Carousel. In 2004 she was sold to Louis Cruise Lines, Cyprus and renamed to MV Aquamarine which sailed the Mediterranean. She was charted to Transocean Tours from 2006 until 2008 sailing as the MV Arielle. In late 2010 she was sold to Ocean Star Cruises who renamed the ship Ocean Star Pacific.
