Description Grand Princess is the Princess Cruise Lines’ first Grand-class ship, and is a sister ship to the Golden Princess, Caribbean Princess and Star Princess. It cost Princess Cruises approximately $400 to build this huge vessel. Its clear-cut layout style, huge outside deck space giving enough reason for it guests to explore the many entertainment and dining options on the cruise. The cruise’s décor has a theme – ‘PARKS’ elegant works made of colours, glass and wood, expensive fabrics.
Destinations The Grand Princess has its cruises to the British Isles, The Mediterranean region and the Caribbean islands.
History Grand Princess was completed in 1998, was built at the Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani ship yard and had its maiden voyage on the 27th of May 1998. During its inaugural ceremony the cruise was christened by her godmother Olivia de Havilland a famous Hollywood female actor and Academy Award winner.
Dining The Dining options on the cruise include - Michelangelo Dining Room, Da Vinci Dining Room, and Botticelli Dining Room, Sterling Steakhouse Promenade bar, Lobby Bar, Snookers bar, Wheelhouse Bar, Trattoria Sabatini, Mermaid's Tail, Poseidon's Pizzeria, I Scream Ice Cream Bar, Calypso Bar, Horizon Court and the Sea Breeze bar.
Entertainment Entertainment on the Grand Princess include the Princess Theatre, Atlantis Casino, Promenade lounge, Explorers Lounge, Vista Show lounge, Terrace Pool, Neptune's Reef and Pool, Movies Under the Stars, Calypso Reef and Pool, Fun Zone/Off Limits, Voyage of Discovery and the Skywalkers Disco & Observation Lounge. The Spa, treatments, long walks, good workout or one’s favourite sport all these are experienced on the Sports and Sun deck and it includes the Lotus Spa, Oasis Spa, Beauty Salon, Princess Links, Centre Court, Aerobics, Fitness Centre, Steam and a Sauna.
Cabins Grand Princess’ luxury suites include the Grand Suites, the Owner's Suites, and the Penthouse Suite, the Premium Suites, the Vista Suite, the Family Suite and the Mini Suites. The Ocean view Stateroom include a balcony space and cabins without balcony space. The cruise’s Interior Staterooms are the smallest of the cabins.
