There are also a wide variety of entertainment options for all ages, restaurants, as well as a wedding chapel for those who want to tie the knot while on a romantic cruise. Cruising Europe and the Caribbean aboard the Ruby Princess will make for an exciting, unforgettable, and elegant experience.

Destinations
The Ruby Princess sails the Caribbean on winters and the Mediterranean on summers.

History
The Ruby Princess was built by the Italian shipbuilding giant Fincantieri in 2008, and is a “sister” ship to the Crown Princess and the Emerald Princess. She was unveiled and christened in Fort Lauderdale by Trista and Ryan Sutter from the popular TV program The Bachelorette. Unlike other Grand Class ships from Princess Cruises, the Ruby Princess is equipped with the newly modified Grand Class design—the Skywalkers Night Club, which is suspended over the stern in the other ships, is moved to the aft of the funnel. The Ruby Princess also saw the birth of a new program titled the “Ultimate Ship Tour,” which offers passengers a peek into the scenes behind running a “city” on sea.

Dining
The Ruby Princess is a gourmet’s dream with the number of exciting dining options offered on board. For elegant diners with a palate for traditional flavours, the Botticelli Dining Room provides consistently timed meals served by very attentive waiters. On the other hand, those who’ll be too busy enjoying the ship’s other amenities can find “anytime” dining at the Michelangelo and Da Vinci Dining Rooms. Sabatini’s is one of the specialty restaurants on board the Ruby Princess, which serves exquisitely cooked dishes and mouth-watering gourmet favourites. Passengers can also enjoy exclusive breakfasts from Sabatini’s if they get up early (breakfast is served here from 7:30 to 10:30 AM) and because this restaurant is popular with the other passengers, it’s recommended to put in a reservation.

Entertainment
Even if the Ruby Princess is miles away from the next port, passengers won’t be bored on board with all the top-class entertainment and recreation choices they can find on the ship. One of the ship’s unique features is the Movies Under the Stars outdoor theatre, where passengers can enjoy first-run blockbusters while enjoying the fresh ocean breeze. There are also other theatres on board the Ruby Princess that offer musical and theatrical performances. Those who enjoy an exciting nightlife will find it in the Skywalkers Nightclub and Club Fusion, as well as at the Gatsby’s Casino, Explorers Lounge, the Speakeasy Cigar Lounge, and the Wheelhouse, Adagio, and Crooners Bars. There are also a good number of pools, spas, and hot tubs, including the Calypso and Neptune’s Reefs and Pools that feature two hot tubs each, the Terrace Pool, and The Sanctuary (only adults are allowed to enter).

For sports enthusiasts, there are available basketball, paddle tennis, golf, jogging tracks, and gym facilities available. . And if those amenities aren’t enough, there’s also the art gallery, a 24-hour Internet café, a library, the Hearts and Minds Wedding Chapel, a conference centre, kids’ and teens’ centres, as well as a host of designer boutiques.

Cabins
On the Ruby Princess, passengers are offered five different accommodation choices: inside double, outside double, outside double with balcony, mini-suite with balcony, and suite with balcony. These staterooms are furnished with modern appointments such as refrigerators, television sets, and private bathrooms. The Ruby Princess has around 900 staterooms with private balconies where you can enjoy breathtaking views of sunrise, sunset, and the Mediterranean and Caribbean islands.
