ARGO FACTS

Description
The Argo is a two-masted schooner owned by Seamester Global Programs. She is a sister ship to schooner Ocean Star and is used as a sail training boat. The 34 m long boat takes 26 trainees and a professional crew of seven. The steel-hulled vessel has a main mast 31 m tall, and carries a sail area of 440 square metres.

Destinations
The boat sails all around the world on a range of programs including 90-day programs, 60 day programs and 21 day programs.

History
The Argo was designed at Langan and Associates in Newport, Rhode Island, and built in 2006 at the Marsun Shipyards in Samut Prakan, Thailand. since her launch, she has circumnavigated the world a number of times, giving hundreds of trainees the chance to sail the ocean, and broaden their education, and challenge them in ways beyond what can be taught in the classroom.
