ARTEMIS FACTS

Description
Artemis is a three-masted barque based in the Netherlands. The 59 m long ship has sail area of 1050 square metres, and a 31 m tall main mast. The ship carries 120 guests on day trips, and has overnight accommodation for 39 people in cabins. There are two saloons and a bar on board. The ship is owned by The Tall Ship Company, which has a fleet of five tall ships, Antigua (barkentine), Artemis (barque), Atlantis (barkentine), Elizabeth (clipper) and Mare Frisium (schooner). Artemis can be chartered for special events, corporate functions and team building events.

Destinations
Artemis sails the North Sea, Baltic Sea and other European waters. She has also undertaken world wide sails.

History
Artemis was built as a whaling ship in Norway in 1926 and sailed the Arctic and Antarctic waters until the 1940s. She was converted into a freighter in the 1950s sailing between Asia and South America. She was renovated as sailing tall ship in 2001.

Cabins
Artemis has fourteen cabins, each with own shower and toilet. There are 7 triple cabins and 9 double.
