ATLANTIS FACTS

Description The Atlantis is a barkentine operated by the Tall Ship Company. The 57 metre long ship has a mast height of 33 metres and sail area of 742 square metres. Facilities onboard include a large main deck, dining room and bar. Up to 140 passengers can be carried on day trips, with cabin accommodation for 36 on mullti day trips. The ship can be booked for special family occasions, team building programs or corporate events. The Tall Ship Company has a fleet of five tall ships, Antigua (barkentine), Artemis (barque), Atlantis (barkentine), Elizabeth (clipper) and Mare Frisium (schooner).
Destinations Atlantis is based in the Netherlands and sails the Baltic Sea, the North Sea, around Balearic Islands and off the south coast of France. She also makes trips to the Caribbean and worldwide.
History The Atlantis was built in Hamburg in 1905, and served as a light ship on the Elbe River, until she was retired in the 1970's. The ship was ship was converted into a three-masted barkentine in the early 1980s and renamed Atlantis. She was acquired by The Tall Ship Company in 2005 and refurbished.
Cabins The ship has 18 air conditioned double cabins, each with own private shower and toilet .
